PULLEY /DRUM

JMEP Head , Tail  & Snub drums are fabricated from MS ,SS Plate or pipes and are fitted with strong MS ,SS Discs at each end. MS , SS shaft properly machined is fixed along with Cast Iron or steel Hubs of suitable design. The M.S,SS  Shaft is supported by double row self-Aligned Ball Bearing type JMEP Plumber Blocks of unit construction. These are dust and moisture protected by oil seals and have hydraulic nipples for pressure lubrication. The Drums are properly balanced statically & dynamically.

RUBBER LAGGED PULLEYS (DRUMS)

JMEP Head Drums can be rubber lagged or curve crowned. Sometimes tail drums are also rubber lagged. For long conveyors the drums are rubber lagged upto 12 mm thickness.

Chevron type ,or grooved lagging , plain lagging is recommended wherever possible . This increases the belt life as well as the cohesive force which helps in easy starting. Drum wear is thus avoided.

 

MAGNETIC DRUMS

JMEP Magnetic Drums are used to remove stray iron pieces from the material  conveyed, in various industries and Power Houses. Feeder Conveyors of suitable lengths usually incorporate these magnetic drums which are supplied complete with rectifier unit for working on AC current . Sometimes overhead electromagnet are used

BELT CLEANER

There are always residual materials which cling to the belt. To remove these belt cleaners are usually provided at the discharge end. Rubber bladed, double bladed or multiple bladed models as the case may be. Rotary brush, balancing type & other makes are also designed, to suit customer’s specific requirements.

HOPPERS

JMEP Hoppers fabricated from MS , SS Plate are subject to heavy wear, when handling abrasive material like coal, stone etc. Rubber flashing is therefore usually provided along the lower edge, to prevent wear on such Hoppers and chutes. Some Hoppers are provided with rack and pinion arrangement, for controlled feeding of the material.

WALKWAYS

Walkways are necessary on Conveyors which are inclined or at higher level. These can be designed and supplied according to requirements. Walkways help maintenance and supervision. Present tendency is towards one side walkway only

GRAVITY TAKE UP

Gravity take- UP is specially built for long belt conveyors. It automatically takes up slack in the belt and maintains an even tension at all times, eliminating frequent operator attention. The Gravity Take- Up could be either vertical or horizontal type depending upon the location. Weights usually of cast iron , are necessary to give proper tension.

SCREW TAKE-UP

This type of take- Up is used for conveyors up to 60 mtr centre. The Tail Drum is provided with two adjusting screws by which the tail drum can be moved forward and backward by moving the two sealed , self-aligning, anti-friction ball bearing plumber blocks, for  required tension of the belt

GUIDE ROLLERS

These are used on the sides of conveyor to guide the belt running straight. Rubber bonded guide rollers are supplied with suitable stands. Guide rollers are supplied in Aluminium or steel tubes , as per customer’s choice. These can be fixed at convenient distances from head drum normally spaced 10-15M apart.

IDLERS

These are the internationally accepted important parts of the conveyor. Whether flat , troughed or training type, JMEP idlers give you quality engineered features, together with maximum conveying capacity  and reliablility . Troughing idlers are two-roll to five roll, depending upon the size of the belt. Taper roller or ball bearing type idlers are widely used throughout the conveyor industry

IMPACT IDLERS

The use of impact idlers under the loading point is of primary importance. These not only reduce the damage to the belt covering but also prevent breakdown of belt carcass. JMEP special rubber rings are provided on the steel tube so that , when the load falls on the belt , the shock is absorbed. These rubber rings are easily replaceable whenever required. The present tendency is to use all the idlers of this type to increase the belt life.

The spacing of the impact idlers is 450 mm to 600 mm at the feeding points. This increases the life of belt , which in turn reduces the cost per tone of material handled.

RACK AND PINION GATE

This heavy duty, manually controlled gate can easily be operated by a chain , cable, or hand wheel. As with all JMEP frame gates, it can easily be converted to any other type of actuator in the future
